Gemini co-founder announces Gemini will not hire any talent from MIT as long as MIT has link with Gary Gensler
Tyler Winklevoss openly announced his opposition against the former SEC chairman Gary Gensler & decided not to give an opportunity to any MIT student at the Gemini exchange.
On 29 Jan 2025, FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett reported that the former US SEC Chairman Gary Gensler has joined MIT as a professor of practice in the Global Economics and Management Group and the Finance Group, following his departure from the SEC agency. As per university, Gensler will teach students about artificial intelligence, finance, and fintech policy.
On 30 Jan 2025, Gemini crypto exchange co-founder Tyler Winklevoss said that his company will not hire any graduate from MIT & also not give opportunity to any student during summer intern program.
The majority of the Crypto X users responded to Gemini co-founder and said that he should not think about Gensler in this way because he played his role differently at the SEC agency, while he was always a pro-Crypto as a professor at MIT.
Gary Gensler vs Crypto
During the tenure at the US SEC agency, Genser initiated a very big war against crypto space. The SEC filed suit against multiple crypto companies over providing Crypto trading services.
Just before Donald Trump assumed the presidential office, Gensler resigned from the SEC chairman role. Trump appointed pro-Crypto Mark Uyeda as the acting chairman of the SEC body.
In between 2021 to 2024, Gensler attacked the crypto space badly and also the majority of the crypto supporters slammed Gensler for his crypto hater stance.
During multiple interviews, Gensler passed negative statements against the crypto space and imposed a very bad pressure on the crypto companies to shut down the crypto circulation.
