Popular music streaming platform Spotify facing problems because of the entry of AI bot & related services into its platform.

Spotify is a proprietary Swedish audio streaming and media services provider founded on 23 April 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon. This platform has more than 515 million monthly active users. 

Recently Financial Times (FT) reported that Spotify removed more than 10,000 songs, which were created via Boomy. Boomy tracks racks is a third party service that allows people to create generative music with AI technology. By taking this strict decision, Spotify confirmed that it will keep artificial streaming away from the platform.

Music market leader Universal Music Group (UMG) informed inflow of AI tech across the music streaming platforms and noted that suspicious streaming activities surging rapidly on Boomy tracks.

Michael Nash, the Chief Digital Officer at UMG, said:

“We are always encouraged when we see our partners exercise vigilance around the monitoring of activity on their platforms.”

Earlier this many media reports confirmed that some people are using AI tools to create original music & songs and also they are creating & using the real voice of popular music artists, without their permission.

Here this is not only the music industry, instead, almost every tech & non-tech sector saw an inflow of AI tech & AI bots. Many tech companies including crypto firms showed significant Inclination toward AI sector.

Few people are creating fake news on behalf of fake stories with the help of the AI chatbot ChatGPT, a popular AI chatbot developed by OpenAI. 

Recently a person was detained by the Chinese authorities over the use of ChatGPT to create fake news stories e.g. train crash that did not happen in the past. Now that person may face charges of up to 10 years of jail punishment. 

Many tech enthusiasts are looking toward the better use case of AI tech to bring a better experience for internet users but otherside few people are using AI technology for their illegal activities. 

Recently a report by the Meta cyber security team reported that bad actors are using AI tools to create suspicious websites & softwares to catch innocent internet users and also noted that bad actors are attracting internet users to their websites suspicious websites for AI ChatBot-related services, which are even not possible in the present.
