83% of people want Bitcoin friendly US president
A poll result showed that the majority of the crypto investors are willing to see a Bitcoin-friendly US president in 2024.
The US presidential election is to be held in 2024 and so far 6 presidential candidates directly & indirectly shared their stance on Bitcoin & Cryptocurrencies.
On 27 May 2023, Michael Saylor, the founder & former CEO of the business intelligence firm Microstrategy, shared the Twitter poll result & confirmed that 84% of the crypto Twitter community wants a Bitcoin-friendly President in America.
Here it is worth it to note that not all the voters in this Twitter poll were from America, instead Crypto investors from several countries.
At present, the top crypto-friendly candidates in the US presidential election race are Vivek Ramaswamy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
On 18 May 2023, Ramaswamy said that Bitcoin should not be regulated as a security.
On 3 May 2023, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. slammed the Biden administration’s 30% tax policy on Bitcoin miners. Robert compared Bitcoin mining with Video games & further suggested no kind of such restrictions.
Another crypto-friendly US president is Nikki Haley. However, Nikki failed to talk about her stance on Bitcoin in the recent days but in the past, she criticized the US securities regulatory body over a bad regulatory approach & failure to handle the FTX bankruptcy-like cases.
US presidential candidate Marianne Willamsois also Bitcoin-friendly. In 2022, she opposed the Canadian government’s crypto ban rules.
Here no one can forget Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who confirmed that he will support Bitcoin-friendly policies in the US if he is elected, during a Twitter space discussion with Elon Musk.
