Elon Musk claims Microsoft illegally uses Twitter data to train AI 2

Elon Musk confirmed that Twitter will file a lawsuit against software giant Microsoft over illegally using Twitter’s database to train Artificial intelligence (AI).

Elon Musk is the current CEO of the giant social media platform Twitter since late 2022. In Q3 2022, Musk successfully acquired Twitter as a private company for $44 billion. Musk aims to make Twitter’s ecosystem perfect for users via several new changes.

On 20 April 2023, A Twitter account reported that Microsoft decided to leave Twitter platform use for promotion & campaign.

Twitter CEO Musk responded to that news and alleged that Microsoft is using Twitter’s data illegally to train AI ChatBot, so it is time to take legal action against Microsoft.

Further a Journalist noted that earlier it was awesome for internet engineers to work on Twitter API-supported engineering but nowadays it is not as cool as Twitter charges for API support.

The journalist also claimed that Twitter will only face less traffic in this situation and if others will take similar action against Twitter then surely Twitter will see a downfall in the new users on Twitter.

Twitter’s CEO said that he is open to the best ideas but noted that it will not be a wise solution to make money via selling Twitter data.

Microsoft vs Elon Musk

Microsoft emerged as a big enemy of Twitter CEO with the surging popularity of the ChatGPT AI bot.

In the past Musk co-founded the non-profit AI tech firm OpenAI but later he left OpenAI. Microsoft jumped into OpenAI support as a big investor.

Under big funding support, OpenAI introduced its high-level AI chatbot “ChatGPT”.

Because of the high level of popularity of ChatGPT, Musk also used it and noted that the majority of the current chatbots are censored. So, now Musk is also working to establish his own AI tech firm to bring his own AI chatbot.
