Supreme Court Of china seeks to Push Blockchain Adoption Under laws 2

The Chinese Supreme Court has asked the Chinese judiciary to use blockchain technology to connect courts by 2025. In a paper released on Wednesday, the Supreme Court said the blockchain could be used to examine and share legal data, documents, and reports. According to the document, there are about 2.2 billion legal documents that are currently being stored on the blockchain.

While the Supreme Court shared its opinion and said Supreme Court, blockchain improves the efficiency of court proceedings such as case filing, questioning of information, confirmation, and communication between legal entities.

The Supreme Court has thus called on the judiciary, law enforcers, and regulators to work together on the network. According to the document, the court should work along with blockchain platforms to promote and improve on various terms like intellectual property protection, business environment customization, corporate bankruptcy and reorganization, and the social credit system.

As per various local media sources, Sichuan and Inner Mongolia have recently announced the first case where the evidence were stored on the blockchain. Reportedly the People’s Court of Saihan District located in Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia, accepted the evidence of the agreement established on the blockchain network in the dispute over the loan agreement between the complainant and the defendant. The court further examined the presented evidence of the complainant and the defendant who used the contract and came to a decision without objection. 

In another case involving copyright infringement in Sichuan, the Regional Free Trade Zone Court upheld the evidence stored in the blockchain as valid again. The complainant alleges that the defendant stole the musical work and thus further profited from it.

Chinese govt against crypto but not citizens

In mid of 2021, the Chinese government started to introduce stepwise restrictions on the crypto industry and finally banned crypto fully before the end of 2021.

At present, crypto and related services are fully prohibited In China and no one person is allowed to do activities related to Crypto.

A recent report noted that huge numbers of crypto mining operations are still active in China, illegally against the crypto ban law.
