Although hacking cryptocurrency space with fraudulent, phishing attempts and stolen accounts are notorious terms, the question arises as to how much cryptocurrency some of these hackers actually have.

Recently an anonymous hacker by the name of Gummo claimed in an interview with Soft White Underbelly that he had $150 billion worth of personalized coins worth $ 7 billion in Bitcoin.

According to the Forbes 2021 list of the richest billionaires in the world, this hacker will be the 369th richest person in the world with the wealth acquired in the leading digital assets.

Gummo first appeared on the Soft White Underbelly YouTube channel in December 2020, where he talked about his upbringing and how he had been a hacker for 30 years.

Gummo further describes how he overcame these challenges by developing a liking for computers and eventually developed the hacking ability that he used for evil purposes to live in his teens.

As per Gummo’s interview, he has more than $7 billion worth of Bitcoin and currently owns 179,863 Bitcoins, while Bitcoin is currently less than $39,000 as of March 15.

“I’m quite wealthy. Yeah, I do not have to work if I don’t choose to. I have over seven billion dollars worth of Bitcoin.”

With regard to hacking, Gummo uses his skills for good, but claims that crypto theft is still a problem.

“The landscape is growing darker and more sinister as more people wish to seek their wealth whether it be cryptocurrency theft or traditional theft of banking systems,” the hacker said.

Lately its worth noticing that the cryptocurrency scammers rug pulled $2.8 billion in 2021 and collected an average of more than $7 million every day, but this year the US Department of Justice (DoJ) seized 94,000 Bitcoins with a total worth of $3.6 billion stolen from the crypto exchange Bitfinex in 2016 which was one of the largest crypto theft.
